THE
HISTORY
Established back in 1985 by Helen and Eddie Hill, the reins were handed over to Sally and Eric Whitelaw in 2015 before passing to First Class Sailing in 2019. Firstaway Yacht Charters has gained and maintained a reputation as a leading Yacht Charter business in the Solent and South Coast - flexible, caring and run by experienced professionals.
We offer a selection of charter yachts, lovingly maintained in excellent condition, along with advice from our enthusiastic and experienced team who love sailing.
Our priority is to provide and maintain first-class yachts and service for our clients - many of whom return year after year to Southampton to enjoy the sailing on the Solent!
THE
TEAM
Firstaway Yacht Charters is now owned and run by
First Class Sailing.
The shoreside team is made up of Charlie Tulloch, the Principal of First Class Sailing; Jamie Cozens the Chief Instructor who is fully involved in keeping the Firstaway charter fleet in tip-top condition, maintaining and cleaning the yachts and preparing them for
bareboat charter
or
skippered charter
; Jamie has help from Carol in making sure the yachts are spotlessly clean for your charter; and Martin Lown who takes care of your bookings and makes sure all the admin runs smoothly.
